Sunday Sketches;more shells

Shells found at the beach
This week was a busy week and not a lot of time for art.
Henk and I went to Wellington last weekend, the Capital of New Zealand and we had two nights away and did a bit of shopping and went to Te Papa, the National museum.
I had one afternoon this week to paint two more watercolour shell cards, but this weekend I prepared for my art teaching tomorrow at Gate Way trust, we are doing "painting" with old magazines, I will show some of the work next week.
Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead.

Colours in purple and blue this time

  1. Your beautiful watercolor shells remind me of my youth growing up on the Atlantic Ocean in south Florida. Oh, how I was fascinated with the shells as a little child....especially the Conk shells and the sounds of the ocean I could hear when put tip to my ear. Your work is stunning. The colors are lovely. I hope you frame these and hang them on your wall. Happy week. genie

    1. Thank you Genie for your lovely comment, I love the beach and we live very close to the Tasman Sea. You must have found different shells to the New Zealand shells in Florida. When I am walking on the beach I always take something special home.

I adored my time traveling around both the North and South Island of New Zealand. Very fond memories.

    1. Thanks Neesie I love painting with watercolours. So nice you have been to New Zealand. I live in Upper Moutere, near Nelson on the top of the South Island close to the Tasman Sea. Have you been there?
